Too much beauty to bear?

A misting fog covered the morning's slow movement of sunlight down the eastern hillside - yet another eighth-century Chinese landscape painting come to life.

The fog's lifting was followed by delicate movements of golden leaf's flight in groups of five or ten. These leaves, do they know the small flock of goldfinch they resemble so closely? Would the sight of both in one moment simply be too much beauty to bear?

I think so.
